This feels big and international for Rioja. Purple plums, black cherries, a hint of plum/apricot kernel and some sweet cocoa. None of the transparency of the more traditional producers like LdH or La Rioja Alta. Dense, tannins a bit chalky. Time won’t hurt.

At 10 years old, this is still young, but wow was it singing. Windswept violets, sassafras and blue cheese, dominates the nose. Black Cherry and rum soaked plum, with some spices. Lingering finish and soft tannins. Medium acidity. Makes you want more
