Make no mistake, we had a 2010 Marcassin a few weeks ago. I paid somewhere around $25-$30 for this bottling. This is similar to the Marcassin, nearly as good & for about 10-20% the price of the Marcassin depending on when & where you purchased it.
Beautiful, ripe, slightly candied, floral, fruits of; dark cherry, cherry, blackberries and amazing blue fruit hues. Dry top soil, dry crushed rocks, limestone & volcanic minerals, lightly grilled meats, dry tobacco, black tea, herbal notes, dry twigs with fresh, withering, red, dark, purple, blue florals. Beautiful acidity & well balanced, persistent spice finish.
