Scents of lemon custard pie when it was first poured and that shifted to sea water and then to more of a green dulse or Kombu smell after just a few minutes in the glass!
I love the taste of this Piedmont white. Soft on the palette with a wonderful maturity that includes light tannins and a freshly acidic after taste- what balance! Would love to try a few bottles of this every year to see what it has to offer with even more age.

That was a trip. Funky unknown Italian variety from the past. Lovingly being kept alive by La Colombera.

Gold color, showing the 5 years of age on this. The nose shows wood, barrel age, exotic spices, a hint of fresh cut marshmallow, and a mineral driven funk. The palate is fairly lean, carrying through the funky, woody flavors up front with the slightest bit of effervescence, quickly transposing with a burst of acidity to an almost Sauternes-like off-dry sweetness. The finish is packed with a savory umami flavor you normally don't see. Great out of the ordinary find. I suddenly want to seek out more of this varietal!

For a young wine has a significant amount of depth a citric acidity and great rounded fruit with just a touch of vanilla

Regional Profile: Piedmont at Corkbuzz Chelsea Market. Oak on the nose, with a flavor profile of lemon curd comparable to a Chardonnay, especially a White Burgundy. My favorite white wine of the night.
