Dark, glass-clinging purple with near black core. Inviting nose and full palate of natural blueberry jam (without canning sugar) and drying blackberries. Medium acidity and medium minus tannins lend support to an otherwise "chonky" mouthfeel. Finish is brief and a wee bit Louisville slugger. My first wine from Mexico (Guadeloupe Valley, Baja California) turns out to be a quite satisfying drink. Not a blockbuster by any means, but well within typical style for the variety from a warm climate. And a good value at twelve bucks. Drink within the year with meatloaf now or burgers from the grill next cookout.

Strawberry and stony nose

Some stone fruit, medium body, high salinity, softer tannins, tinges of grit on the finish.
Overall a very pleasant wine, and one worth getting into.
I have been loving exploring the wines of Mexico for some time now - this holds its own in the foray.

Strangely, green and yellow apples on the nose, with loads of strawberry and other very ripen red fruits, and bathed in a gentle saltiness - a petit Syrah that has gone for a swim in the Pacific in the Guadalupe Valley area.

A full, dark and rich red wine. Strong dark fruit and raisin nose. Prune and cedar palate - with a long and deep flavour profile.
