Valentine's dinner part 2. Ribeye with yam puree and super cheesy heart shaped beets with balsamic reduction. Matched this with a California Cabernet. Dark berries, some hints of leather with some tannins. Another good pairing, and Valentine's is checked off.

Strong plum or red fruit smell, and something smoky. Meaty and complex. Good tanic finish. Pairing it with lamb made the fruit stand out a little more than I would prefer.
