A very fresh Riesling from Hunawihr in the Alsace, this was nicely aromatic with notes of stoned fruit, pear and a biting acidity that balanced out well. On the nose this had a strong scent of kerosene that I've read about, but never quite believed! This didn't transfer to the palate and was an interesting feature.
What would seem to be a standard French Riesling, enjoyable drinking but nothing mind boggling.

Oct 23rd, 2019It's going so the sugar is very much there, chilling levels it out a smidge. Good melon, good body, good honeysuckle and floral aromas. It's a solid effort but watch the temp.

Dry wine, pale green colour and gentle ripe pear nose. Taste is a pleasantly refreshing mix of ripe pear, orange peel and some lemon / lime. Slightly creamy texture.
