Restrained nose on opening. Started to open up with air as it wasn’t overly chilled to start. Much more restrained than the Dassai DEX and I’d say a better match with the food throughout the night. Liked the viscocity and weight. Solid although would have liked a bit more aromatics

First time trying Kuheiji. I hear that they're typically quite elegant, but I can't say the same about this iteration of the legendary Betsuatsurae. All power with little relief. The quality is unquestionably excellent, but just not for me. I'm sure the next time will be better.
