South Africa at its best, hands off, spots on. A wonderful nose with plenty of complexity. Opening with a true and lean varietal primary character before going deeper with black pepper, charcuterie and a defined gravelly minerality. Lacking some oomph on the palate for the homerun , but my lord, with regards to the price this is nothing less than a bargain… And yes, the label gives it an extra .5 on the scorecard.

Good concentration, nose of red fruits and rose petals. Smooth mouth feel. Medium length. Lovely wine.
