I looove learning about new wineries and I’m very thankful my blog gives me so many opportunities to meet new wineries and try new wines πŸŽ‰

So today I want to introduce you to Koonara Wines from Coonawarra in South Australia. They are a small-batch family owned and operated winery and:

πŸ‡ They were the first Certified Organic vineyard in Coonawarra

πŸ‡ They focus on low sulphur, no/low residual sugar wines and vegan friendly wines

And no they don’t only sell their wine in 100ml bottles like pictured πŸ˜‚

I received this little sample pack to taste (thank you Koonara!) alongside some of their Cabernet Sauvignon Chocolate Truffles 🀀 They were even better than they sound!

This Lucy and Alice, Pinot Gris 2020 is available for $20 via their website (or $18 if you become a member). It was given 4.5 stars by Winestate Magazine πŸ…

As soon as I cracked the bottle the aromatics hit me straight away. It smells absolutely delish! Think tropical fruits, honey dew melon and pretty florals. In the mouth it has so much juicy flavour with a lovely lick of refreshing acidity. Plentiful pear 🍐 flavours with a bit of herbaceousness to back it up. Very yummy πŸ˜‹

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

A funky PG from a funky region. Nothing to write home about.
