Beautiful ruby in color with a wide purplish rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, plums, strawberries, wood, licorice, earth, eaucaliptus, metals, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, vegetables, spices, mint and peppercorn.
Medium bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Fruity on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, oak, coffee, dark chocolates, tobacco, earth, black pepper and black tea.
Medium plus in finish with round tannins, spices and tangy cranberries.
A enjoyable red blend from Washington State with a soft mouthfeel. Easy drinking with nice complexity and balance. Good food wine or just to sip on by the porch.
I had it a few months ago, but this time it was much better. Maybe it was me, maybe it was the company, or it might just have been the food....
I paired it with light appetizers.
12.5% alcohol by volume.

A crowd pleasing (in a metaphorical sense, due to COVID) red blend that has just enough complexity to keep it interesting. Blackberries, black tea, and notes of ceder on the nose. Dark fruits carry over to the pallate with sweet tobacco on the finish. Paired well with fresh pasta & a dessert of tiramisu! ($8.5) [10/30/20]

1 person found it helpfulMar 22nd, 2017V14. Young wine. Starts out with fresh crushed bright cherry juice bouquet. Nice tart Grenache like fruit. Within an hour the bouquet became toasty, and the fruit deepened to an peppery, blackberry an earthy mix. Unbalanced, absolutely, but every sip was actually enjoyable.
Will obviously open up and balance out to a deeper styled wine.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, green pepper, chocolates, tobacco, black tea, herbs, spices and black pepper.

A nice everyday Red wine from Washington State. Earthy, with lots of green notes, especially on the nose. A bit unbalanced with a watery mouthfeel, and some complexity.
Needs about 30 minutes to open up.
Paired nicely with a charcuterie board and fruits.
