Delicious but jammy as hell. I am wishing, based on what I've read I'd tried the 2012 but the 2013 is not bad. Cherry preserves are my favorite type of jam and that is what this wine is in a glass so I'm saying it is dang tasty. Jam in a glass. Plus low plus tannins and some acid. And some licorice and red currant jam (yes I am the ass who procured red and black currant jams of late so as to differentiate). Almost a viscous oiliness I can't decide if I like but I'm giving this a bit of air before I decide. I would have it as dessert. That's not a bad thing-except I was eating Spanish rice and bean soup when I cracked this open so realized maybe I needed to eat some bread before taking notes. Which I did. Soup can wait. But I'm saving the rest of the bottle for later.
