Kokomo Winery
Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
Big. Huge. Gigantic. Not my speed. Leather w/some cocoa nibs.

Jan 14th, 2020I usually don’t drink Zin. This was a pleasant surprise. This had deep black fruit, subtle tannins and moderate alcohol. Thumbs up

This was my wife and I’s favorite so we bought a few bottles. This was the first we’ve opened and really enjoyed it. Great stuff from a small producer in Dry Creek.

I sipped and have been writing so a better blog entry to describe this ruby red beauty will be emerging soon ( http://scrumptiousgruel.wordpress.com) but in the meantime let us just say silk, berries and elegance personified as a liquid down my throat. Oh yes. Thanks again to @Dan White for turning me on to these guys.

Feb 12th, 2020Kokomo 2017 Zinfandel from Sonoma’s Dry Creek Valley. 14.9%... Better have some water near by. This is a BIG BOY Zin! Zesty blackberry dark current toasted oak and cigarbox are the first things that come to my palate. Notes of chocolate and spice in the middle. A lot of butter on the tongue. Finishes dry but not too dry. It does have a slight sour pinch to it Typical of most zins that I have had. But that dissipates immediately at the finish. I probably won’t buy it again very good Zin.
