Fresh, mineral & savoury. Green apricots, underripe pineapple, fresh garden herbs (thyme, mint) and a lot of powdered stone. Grainy, with rough edges, a touch green but nicely so.
Nice depth on the palate, with a mineral backbone, beautiful, juicy acidity. Green apricot, candied pineapple, a whiff of ginger, green asparagus and a handful of herbs. Savoury, a bit on the lean side, brilliant with food.
This is good stuff for a village wine, shows what 2019 can do, gives promise for the GG!
