This was very much in the savory style so I’m not sure if it’s due to age or just the style (not a lot of experience with this Kistler chard). Sea salt, popcorn kernel, grilled lemon and baked peach pie. Lovely texture and acidity. The ‘10 Aubert Lauren it was poured alongside had more of the rich, sweet lemon cream notes, so that may have highlighted the savoriness here.

Pretty amazing, great fruit, tropical but not over the to. Plenty creamy but doesn't leave you with a mouth of butter/oily texture. The acid is clean. Need some more time to integrate. Love this producer.

Nice clean nose with tropical notes and hints of dairy. Some baking spices and long acid finish. Nice to taste this young guy after having the 04 last month. #kistler #chardonnayday

A rich yet elegant wine that shows stone fruit, lime, almond, and floral notes. There is a very clean element to the wine that maintains its balance between the fruit and acid, with judicious use of oak to improve its depth.

Delicious chardonnay with tight mid palate, fleshy broad mouthfeel with real zing and almost caramelized toffee/ vanilla Creme toasty palate. The Christmas Eve opening wine so where can I go from here? :)
