Wednesday Wine Committee hosted by Dan. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine. Tasted blind as usual.
Very ripe and juicy. It totally reminded me of a field blend from Carlisle. Reigns it in before going full blown VA style. Surprised this was Kistler Pinot. Squeezed strawberries, raspberries and blackberries in a glass with Mexican vanilla and a touch of cedar. Zero acidity. Drink up.

Jun 19th, 2019The wine is very dark, suggesting a big wine. It's not petite but I found it surprisingly acid driven with blue fruits on the front. It doesn't read--at least to me at this time--as a fruit bomb as some have suggested. Maybe this is because of how it's evolved
