Sakana dinner 11/18/21 with Wilson/Mabel. Wonderful Alsatian Riesling. White fruited stony floral nose with a hint of petrol. Lively firm texture and stimulating on palate carrying through to finish. Impressive. However beat out by Deiss for the omakase pairing. Would make for great pairing elsewhere and still an impressive white wine.

Great recommendation at the Modern, in place of 07 Cuvée Fred. A reticent bottle, it took a full 2 hours to show its stuff. The finish was promising from the get go. Too bad it can't be purchased retail in US. Very solid, if youthful.
