Fruity nose of blueberries, plums, cherries, licorice, oak, earth, light vanilla, smoke, metals, green vegetables and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, red currant, bitter herbs, spices, earth, green vegetables, graphite and black pepper.
Medium finish with medium tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is an average California Cabernet. Not fully balanced, but easy drinking with a nice mouthfeel.
Needs 30 minutes to open up properly and show some tannins.
Good by itself or with food. Not bad for an everyday red wine.
I paired it with light appetizers.

Like other reviewers, I received this in a gift basket but was very surprised by how smooth it went with a sirloin steak. Good everyday red.

Got this as part of a gift basket so I have no idea regarding price. Considering how I got it, this really wasn't too bad. Light but very smooth. Was pleasantly surprised.
