2011. Nine months after my last note on this wine, little has changed. Clean, taut, complex, with a great stony backbone. Perfect tonight with charred ribeyes and salad. Feels like I'm back in Northern Italy. $24. 13% abv.

2011. I see some low votes from a year or two ago. For us tonight, with grilled bone-in pork chops, along with some spicy roasted green beans, this thing is singing. Complex, well integrated, concentrated. Loving this!

My note below from June is still good. I would recommend serving this with a teensy bit of a chill. Gets a bit too full of itself as it warms up. Love this grape.

St Michael-Eppan Lagrein 2015: Medium-plus body. Bold fruit flavors. Plum & blackberry with subtle hints of tobacco & leather. For me, this wine had the right amount of acidity & tannins, hence making for a dry & smooth finish. It’s always great to enjoy Italian mountain wine when the weather is cold & crisp. Stay healthy & warm! Cheers🍷

St. Michael-Eppan Lagein 2015: Full-bodied. Dark. Dry. Fruit flavors of plum & blackberry with hints of tobacco & leather. For me, this wine has the right amount of acidity and tannins, making for a smooth enjoyable finish. Enjoyed this Alto Adige wine with some Italian cross region goodness of mozzarella di bufala campana DOP! Great day to all! Cheers🍷
