I’ve really enjoyed some previous vintages, but this one was a bit muted in comparison. Blah.

Nov 22nd, 2017Robust barnyard nose, lush dark cherry fruits. Smooth! Namesake wine is always enjoyable!

Dec 7th, 2015I adore this wine--the fruit always comes through for me, and Craig just seems to have that touch that allows the fruit to show beautifully with lovely texture on the palate. Brambly fruit on the nose, dark cherry with just a hint of cola on the palate, smooth and supple with a lovely, long finish. Mmm!

May 25th, 2015For me, this is as close to perfect a Pinot Noir as there is: a subtle nose of cherry and earth, a soft and supple mouth feel with cherry, cranberry and rose petals with a hint of forest floor on the palate. Complex, beautiful, just wonderful. Unfortunately, the current 2012 vintage under his new Camlow Cellars label (which we just picked up last weekend) is the last year he'll be working with Keefer Ranch fruit, but winemaker Craig Strehlow has consistently nailed it for me. We'll definitely try the new juice--also from Green Valley--when it's ready. *fingers crossed*
