The Aussie's use the term Mataro for Mourvedre. Deep dark fruits, anise, candied licorice, dark chocolate. As it sits awhile, the fruits are more distinguishing. Blueberries, dark cherries, spiced plum, soft leather, crushed dry rocks, dry florals. Lean polished fruits, dry florals, sticky tannins and nice acid on the finish.
