Drunk: fairly nice.
Wine Advocate 90+
Produced from 34-year-old vines, the dense ruby/purple-tinged 2004 Shiraz Amery offers up dusty, loamy earth, black fruit, spicy oak, and roasted meat and herb-like aromas. This beautiful, value-priced Shiraz should evolve for a decade. Robert Parker on Oct 1st, 2006
90pts The Wine Advocate
Our Notes:Lighter in style than the 2003, but showing an attractive sweetish red fruit, with a dark caramel character. A touch of perfume as well, with an open, easy-drinking appeal.
Tasted March 2017.
"Deep ruby. Powerful red and dark berry aromas display liqueur-like power and depth, with suave vanilla, cola, tobacco and graphite qualities adding complexity. Juicy black raspberry and cherry-cola flavors are underscored by smoky minerals and framed by velvety tannins. Finishes broad and sweet, with excellent cut and sappy persistence."-International Wine Cellar
