A chance to compare again with proper notes. Aromas of maple syrup and honey. The Sherry sweetness comes through, with a toasty, nutty character on top of the grape. Very nice.

Mar 2nd, 20242023 Whisky Advent Calendar, Day 7: Kavalan Single Malt Triple Sherry Cask. Didn’t save my notes correctly due to a wifi glitch. Only the rating number was saved and I just noticed three days later. But I do remember I thought this was very complex and quite interesting.

Suggested by Grace since I'm in Taiwan and bar tender recommended this one among four Kavalan for a lady :-) but overall not a fan for Taiwanese whisky

Smooth yet powerful. So much dried fruit flavors liked dried mango, melon, grape. Condense sugary caramel. Not too peaty. Aftertaste of hot alcohol, papaya, citrus bittersweetness, leathers, and malty. Really unique experience.
