Katnook Estate
Coonawarra Chardonnay
Happy Friday! Or as I like to call it, Chardonnay day 😜
Yes that’s the look I get on my face whenever I’m about to tuck into a bottle of Chardy. I love the stuff!
This sample I recently received comes from Katnook Estate in SA’s Coonawarra. Thank you!!
This 2018 Chardonnay is so fresh and citrus driven at the moment, that’s you’ll be rewarded if you have the patience to put some in the cellar for a few years.
In the glass it’s a pale yellow shade with lovely stonefruit and spiced citrus notes coming though on the nose plus some lovely oaky vanilla butter also. In the mouth it’s crisp and clean with plenty of body and a nice long finish. Those stone fruits alongside some juicy apple and citrus dominate for me.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Bright straw colour. Complex and multilayered aromas. Apricots, nectarines, peaches, melon, vanilla, butter, hay and walnuts. Creamy texture. Long balanced finish. Great chardonnay.
