This was kind of a crazy wine. High alcohol expressed extreme spice in the beginning. If it wasn’t for the dark red , nearly black color, one would think it was a potent southern Rhone or perhaps an Amarone on steroids. It had great depth and a penetrating finish. Not your everyday Napa Cab for sure. With every sip the wine kept evolving. Settling down after nearly three hours. What a ride.
