Epic cork failure. My fault for trying to pull a 16 year old cork through a thick wax capsule. Unfortunately the cork didn't break into pieces, but into sawdust. Decanted with a fine strainer, then again with a coffee filter, but still not enough. Would give this a 9.2 easy on the nose, but never got all the cork out. Auction bottle, so presume prior storage conditions may have contributed to overly dry cork.😒
