Reserve Lodi Zinfandel

This is a sort of archetypal Lodi Zinfandel, with a sweetish body, rich and full, and flavors of blackberries, blueberries, black currants, and a touch of dark chocolate in the finish.

This is a decent everyday table wine, suitable for both sipping and pairing. It is not too thick or cloyingly sweet. The flavors are more restrained Lodi Zin, blackberry, red currant, with a slightly acidic tang.

Intense violet nose. Black fruit bomb. Label says raspberry and anise also and can’t argue. Good value. Lots of flavor.

Okay. Fairly abrasive but not too bad.

Bouquet is slightly acrid but the flavor is fruit-forward with a dark chocolate finish. Great!

Body, strong flavors, not good with food but likeable alone.

Very smooth, well rounded. First taste is spicy but then it has a rich oak cast taste at the end. It goes absolutely fabulous with chocolate or any dessert.
