What a great surprise! I expected a typical over-the-top alcoholic Aussie Shiraz but instead got a soft but solid wine with great character.

Fruit driven shiraz. 15.3% but not overdone. Good match with lamb chops. 2008 - hit it at the right time. Curious to explore other Barossa examples for comparison.

Believe it or not, a touch of eucalyptus and leather. Smooth tannins. Delicious. 2013 vintage drunk March 2016.

This 05 is just great. It is improving as it sits here open at dinner. Classic Barossa Syrah.
