Tantaka Arabako Txakolina Hondarrabi Zuri
Vintage 2019 | Lovely difficult, hazelnuts and citrus, a wine with tension. Fine acidity and high level bitters that make it a dinnerwine imo. Paired with a pâté first dish and codfish second dish. At hofstede de Blaak Tilburg

Jul 1st, 2023Amazingly delicious and complex natural Txakolina. Has the chalkiness and seashell minerality of a good Chablis and I think it could age just as well.

Oct 31st, 2020Don’t mistake this for a typical light spritzy Txakolina. This still wine shows wonderful citrus and tree fruit, white flowers, tons of saline mineral, and has a beautifully rich texture. Very very Chablis-like, ripping acid and textured long finish. Pretty amazing bottle at less than $25. Spanish Table is out but I’d like to find some more!

Aug 14th, 2020Very fine Txakoli (Hondarribi Zuri) from the Arrastaria Valley (Álava). Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and kept with its lees for 5 months. Clean, precise nose with citrus and herbal notes. Green apple, crushed stone on the palate. Super refreshing, mouthwatering acidity, slightly saline. Tantaka means drop by drop, but this is something you can easily gulp down a gallon of
