Smooth tannins are the highlight. Fruit forward with blueberries, black cherries, plums, mocha, hazelnut, vanilla, and baked almonds on the nose. Medium-plus bodied with a purplish tint. Structure is dry with medium-minus acidity, smooth tannins, and a full oak finish. The Merlot really makes this wine approachable and simple. This is a very easy going wine, but the oak tends to be a little over powering and hides some of the other characteristics of the grapes. Cheers!

This 2012 red blend is much more enjoyable than the Josh Cellars Cab that we tried a few months back. It was given as a gift. I probably wouldn't purchase it again, although it is easy drinking on the palate.
