Hard to get a read on this, drank outside in the cold without aeration, a touch muted. Dark fruit and sweet spice across the palate, a presence of oak influence remains in its sturdy tannin. Mulberry, licorice, asian and warm spice, stones. Color is dark and showing some tawny edge most likely from upbringing. Excited to see what tomorrow brings. Update: did some reviewing, turns out no new barrels here but 40% stem inclusion could explain that tannin presence. Day 2: wow loads of earthy spice coming into play. Undergrowth, cedar, balsam, bitter roots, white pepper and ceylon cinnamon, garrigue. Lots of stony minerality too. Fruit is still dark and a little muddled, mulberry, plum compote, dried strawberry. Not in your face, dark and brooding, expansive on the palate. What a fun CNDP

Pop and pour. Smooth and pleasing with veal osso bucco. Drink up if you have it. SS

Oh bordel...
C'est fin et dingue en bouche malgré un nez très léger.
PARFAIT sur la biche de Noël !
Merci les gars.

Fruity notes have subdued. Well balanced. Faint raspberries and licorice, leather.

Lively aromatics of plum, cherry, garrigue, cinnamon and leather. Mellow tannins, good balance, great with our fall meal. The first CDP I ever bought (thank you Steven Chevalier). This remains a beacon of well made, well priced food wine for me.
