Tasted this again. Deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits with spice and mineral notes. On the palate blackberry and plum flavors, balanced with acidity, structured tannins, a bit firm, medium finish ending with spicy mineral character. Consistent. Tasting Sample.

Solid for $10. Much better Duoro than La Rosa.

Pretty ripe with loads of black fruits completed with floral aromas and earthiness. Pretty firm tannins with a touch of heat on the palate.

Compared to other Douro wines I’ve had this one came across as overly ripe and jammy. Too much sugar and a little too sweet lent this to become a one note song of a hot and heavy wine. Interesting to try but I don’t think I would drink it again.

Lovely wine. Rose, plum and coffee notes. This wine isn’t astringent and a little velvety. Very good cost benefit.
