Another bottle from my NZ cellar and it was interesting to drink this one alongside the 2008 (previous tasting note).

It's a corduroy jeans maroon colour on the eye with a plummy perfume. The nose is refined and elegant with hints of cranberries, violets and a touch of smoke. The palate is full of juicy plums, liquorice, currants and vanilla with graceful tannins and a lively acidity that balances this tipple out well. I enjoyed both vintages however this 2010 was my ultimate preference.
