Massive wine. Opaque ruby, full bodied, and tannic. The aromas evolved consistently revealing black/blue fruit, Asian spices, incense, licorice, and eventually smoked meat and olive (though you’d never mistake this for Old World). Not a style I revisit too consistently but it certainly scratched an itch tonight.

Deep garnet color with purple rim. Aroma of ripe dark fruits, spice, tea leaf, vanilla, and touch of smoke and scent of floral. Palate is surprisingly refined and smooth as opposed to bold and tannic I was expecting. Long lasting sweet spicy finish. Balanced and elegant.

Rich, dark cherry jammy wine with a back bone of dark chocolate, tobacco tannin with hints of cedar. Playing with the top of the roof of your mouth and throat. Love it.

Apr 30th, 2017Floral and salty, with dry minty blackcurrant fruit in a focused medium bodied palate. Should age well over the next 10 years or so.

Solid in character, good promise for further development with aging. Oaked, but without any noticeable vanilla. Fruit is of tart sour cherry, but without any sourness to report. Sheer pleasure of Shiraz.

Ok yet seems still could wait for years.
JH 95pts, WE 92pts
When to drink: 2025 to 2033
Nose: favourable dark fruit once open
Taste: a bite mint once open, goes well with dark fruit but not yet open, last for 4 hours pretty good, then faded sharply;
Should wait years later ma.
Taste 2: left 2 sips in bottle, next morning still alcoholic; next night, nose & taste silky & smooth, alcohol gone, with hint of oaky vanilla at last. Very interesting.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 Entity Shiraz is scented of ripe blueberries, mulberries and Chinese dried plum with vanilla pod, dark chocolate, cedar, violet and fruit cake nuances. This full-bodied wine is densely packed with black berry preserve and baking spice flavors, has a refreshing acid line to add lift and medium to firm levels of rounded tannins. It has a long length with some oak poking through on the finish. Drink it from 2014 to 2024+. Wine Advocate 95(2010)

Alcoholic aroma. Big and voluptuous in fruit and mouthfeel. Rich and intense, dense fruitiness reminiscent of plum and unripe blackberries. In saying all this, it's not jammy at all because there's very good structure to this wine. Tight upon opening, it releases its tension with more complexity, such as fresh biscuit, warm leather, mint leaf, black currant and cigar box. Lacking some depth but nice overall The mouthfeel is beautiful with firm, gripping tannins, nice acidity and leathery in texture. Really solid.
