Tried a bottle of the 2011 with Ethiopian, and it's drinking well. Still plenty of spice, but the fruit has evened out a bit more since release. Was inspired to try again after having a flight of the '02, '03, '08, and '12.

Oct 25th, 2015Pale straw yellow.
I'm smelling this odd marzipan-like smell of rotting electronics, plus yeast and some alcohol heat. Not very promising.
On the palate, I get a tiny little sweetness, mild yet broad acidity, not much else. Long finish of acidity and yeast.
Meh.
