Pours red. White pepper, raspberry and a bit of cherry aromas. Berry jam upfront in flavor followed by cherry. Slightly hot in alcohol but not overpowering with a very long finish.

Lots of fruit and body for a zin. Full and just easy drinking. Great with Gruyere or other similar dry aged hard cheese

The fruit stands front and center on this one. Mild tartness, pleasant on the tongue with a smooth finish. Enjoying as a pre-Christmas dinner treat.

"Around the Valley the 2011 vintage is talked about as the 'year of the winemaker'. Mother Nature provided every obstacle she could think of leaving the fate of each wine entirely up to the skill of its winemaker. Of course, the 'year of the winemaker' works out well for us with Rob Lloyd on our side! With bright, high toned fruit flavors, fresh aromas and an endlessly pleasing finish, the 2011 may be our favorite Zinfandel to date...and as you all know, that's saying quite a lot! "
