Jérôme Chezeaux
Bourgogne Pinot Blanc
The 2020 Bourgogne Blanc from Jérôme Chezeaux is a bit unusual in that it’s primarily old-vine Pinot Blanc (about 3/4) with the balance being Chardonnay. As one can imagine, not much of this is made. The wine pours a light golden color with medium viscosity. No signs of particles or gas. On the nose, aromas of stone and tropical fruit: peaches, pineapple, lemon, tangerine, meringue and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. The notes from the nose are confirmed. Finish is long, silky and has a good spine of limestone-like minerals. This was universally enjoyed by everyone at the table and finished way too fast. Drink now but could age for a few years with ease.

Apr 27th, 2023Have yet to be less than impressed with wines from Chezeaux. Bright and focused style. Think the bottle may be smaller than stated as disappeared rather quickly

Jul 15th, 2015Heavily lees inflected. Pretty interesting peachy aromatics.

Aug 18th, 2014Really tart, semi-ripe cherries, very very light in coloration, a dry tannic-heavy finish that makes one slightly piker but not in a bad way. Smell is not very apparent and after a few sips, it's a lot-a-cherry to cherish (in the right moment)
