So interesting. In oak for fourteen months, but they use a bladder press so the pips aren't broken. A very petite Petite Verdot. Not what one would expect.

Typically used to more full-bodied Petit Verdots but I'll take any I can find. This was a more restrained version.

Inky, earthy. Really good. No tannins. Well balanced.

This wine is massive! Immediately after decanting, the vanilla and spice notes ran rampant across the tongue, delivering a smooth flavor that grew more and more subtle as the night went on. Tons of berry flavor that also seemed to mellow as the wine had time to breathe. This is definitely an entertaining wine due to the number of changes it goes through.
