A simple helping of red plum and tobacco on the nose here. Further development on the palate with raspberry and some blackberry hiding in there too. This wine doesn't seem fat by any means... Fruity, yes, but also held together with a light oakiness and light tannin that quenches. The acidity paired well with the sea air and Miss Vickie's chips we enjoyed at the beach.

Nice and steady, not to heady: a good Bordeaux blend at a good price point. Nice, basic but still a beautiful glass of Bordeaux. Muted tones all round from start to finish, you could make this a premium table red as it still has that earthy tone of Bordeaux. Some cheese and some wine and your on your way!
