Premier Cru "En Orveaux" Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir
Vosne-Romanée, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France
Makes for an excellent whole cluster Grenache, but less so a Burg. Haha. Super aromatic with waves of incense, roses, and dark berry fruit. The palate was very concentrated, but I felt it had inadequate relief and was at times, flabby even. Hence, the initial comment. Interesting that my favourite 19’ Guyon so far has been the “lowly” Chorey. The 19’ En Orveaux definitely has substance but I was looking for more finesse. One to revisit.
