Expressive, perfumed aromatics, in a cleanly made style with strikingly pristine, vibrant fruit, plenty of spice, oak, earth and light smoke. Effortlessly full-bodied with lush, silky, resolved tannins. Brother of Marc Sorrel, and a practicing lawyer, Jean-Michel is (was?) a minor producer, but the site speaks for itself; this is a strong vintage drinking at its peak.
