Beaujolais Blanc is so underrated, yet generally over-delivers for retail pricing. Current notes still apply, but this bottle has more of a sweet yellow apple note than earlier bottles. A better bottle than the our prior.

Aug 23rd, 2020Nose has oxidized yellow apple peel, under-riped pineapple, damp flint and wet stainless steel.
Palate has dried lemon rind, under-ripe nectarine, beeswax, wet steel, yellow apple flesh and under-ripe pineapple core.
18 month check-in since last bottle, in decline (my opinion), but difficult to compete with the shoulder vintages here, as both were better examples of the varietal with better quality. Still a solid bottle at ~$15.

I can't say that I have drunk a whole lot of Beaujolais Blanc, but if they all taste like this, I'll be drinking a lot more.
