Jean François Ganevat
Sainte Cécyle Trousseau Pinot Noir
60/40 Trousseau/Pinot. Latter provides some structure, and the former adds its usual, lovely self. Cherries and clarity all the way.

1 person found it helpfulJan 3rd, 2015Trousseau, Pinot and Ploussard have produced this elegant and perfect red wine for seafood. 2005, but still close on the nose, showed some signs of oak, smoky, leather and tar. The sommelier said: "I prefer the reds from Ganevat than the whites". One of the best wine lists in Boston.

Mar 2nd, 20152005 Ganevat Sainte Cécyle Appealing chocolate-berry and black trumpet aromas. Medium bodied, fresh and youthful. Earthy, dense fruit leaning towards dark berries with hints of spice and lurking complexity. Well structured and long. Lovely.

Feb 20th, 2015Grapey in the best way, luminous, completely satisfying. This had more to say than I could hear.

Nov 27th, 2014Happily sharing with a wonderful friend deeply ensconced in Tuscany and its wines, and thrilled to drink Jura.

Oct 19th, 2014While I'd like to share my true opinion on this wine, I'm not sure if it's worth it.
If I do, next thing I know Ganevat will be commenting here scolding me and playing with semantics just like Alexandra Vineyards from OR did with a rating and comment on one of their wines.
At least I'd imagine he would use his name instead of hiding behind the winery name and in turn being anonymous. He'd probably be receptive to instead of combative.
