Aug 31st, 20152013 in a good spot, just developing its secondary notes. Right on the cusp. Still bright strawberry, heady. This wine has lots in common with the ‘14 Valentini Cerasuolo. It was simultaneously nice and a challenge to have them side-by-side, especially considering their different stages of development. This wine had higher acidity, tarter flavors (cranberry) and more present baking spice. Cerasuolo has slightly more present tannins, but both are soft and supple. This has a hint of candied sweetness, a slight red jolly rancher kind of thing going on, but balanced by acidity. Very balanced.
