I was excited to try a 100% Trousseau rosé sparkling. Unfortunately, this one failed to meet up to my expectations. The color was a very dark pink orange - and upon tasting I believe it is from a possibly accidental extended skin maceration as there is noticeably tannin present, which is odd in a sparkling wine. (As a still rosé, this could probably be pretty interesting - I may let it warm up and lose carbonation and check it out.) But cold + tannin = bitter, so not what you want in bubbles. All of that said - I really liked the flavor components and depth, and would like to try another example of Trousseau bubbles.
