Inky color. Intense nose. This wine has something to say. Velvety on the tongue. Dark berries and chocolate with a pleasant, lingering finish. This is truly a lovely wine.

This was a pretty good complement to the N.Y. Strip steak we grilled last night! The tannins were very well integrated and had lots of primary and secondary aromas such as blackberry, black plum, smoke, cedar and pepper. I presume the blend is zinfandel, cabernet, and petite syrah--a new classic California blend! It did taste a bit flat and wouldn't be worth the $30+ price tag. I don't think it was stored properly over the last 5 years so would be willing to try it again.

May 15th, 2017Big, complex flavors...hoped it would taste a little like sexual chocolate, but didn't. Tasted better after glass one and then some cheeses.
