Estate Grown Cave Fermented Lake William Red Bordeaux Blend

I’ve yet to find a wine from Jarvis I don’t enjoy. I still claim that their tour is one of the most impressive in all of Napa...incredible caves.

This was mainly cab, rounded out by merlot, cab franc and a small percentage of other varietals. Plush. Ripe. Yet still had a green streak down the middle of the palate (I’ve ALWAYS gotten that with Jarvis). Blackberry, plum, currant, black peppercorn, and floral all at the same time on both the nose and palate. Totally open and ready for business.

Amazing. Balanced, rich, deep and elegant. Perfect.

A Jarvis blend. Complex with smooth transitions from its french oak aging.

Updating some tasting notes after my trip to Napa a few weeks back.

Started off with a bit of a funk on the nose, then developed gracefully while tasting. Another hour of decanting would have been prime.

Very nice Cabernet, aromas of mulled spices, cedar, pepper, caramel. Mouthfeel is smooth and just the right amount of tannins.

Really enjoying this wine. Well integrated, very pretty.

Mature & smooth...Stained cherries on a brown paper bag...Hints of vanilla & Cinnamon with yummy acidity. Strained sweetness & somewhat tart cherries.

Too much VA for me. Covers up so much potential.
