Apple, fig, quince and French oak show playful and integrated completeness in the nose. Very intriguing and crafty aromatics for the price point. Not a lot of wines is show to real wine geeks for about $20, but this one's special. Rich enough to be Chard, structured enough to be pure Santa Maria. Balanced and crafty in the mouth with a nice mix of breadth and acidity. Serve with goat cheese fritters or fried squash blossoms with nectarine jam.
