Côtes du Rhône Viognier
Star bright gold. White flowers and honeyed stone fruit on the nose and fleshy, full-bodied palate. Lengthy, layered finish adds anise and white pepper. Medium acidity; somewhat higher than what you’d get in the New World. It checks all of the white Rhône boxes — complexity, body, aromatics — and does so with aplomb. The Viognier to drink when you don’t want to spring for Condrieu. Drink by 2024.

Dec 2nd, 2020Honeysuckle, pear on the nose with a good balance of minerality and. acidity. Just enough weight in the glass to make it stand up to fattier fish like salmon.
