2024 winter. L 1020SLN15, deg. Oct 2020. Not sure if Delectable doesn’t have a separate label for the Élevage Prolongé, which is what this is… in any case, a lovely nose showing the caramel and nut notes from the 50% perpetual reserve used. On the palate, much more steely and tight than the nose would suggest. I did feel like this was an example where zero dosage leaves the wine a little thin and stretched; it seems like this doesn’t happen so much even in wines with just 2 or 3 g/l.

Heavy yeast on the nose to start - shows that it’s a brut early in the nose and the taste. Then the pear and slate come thru and really enjoyable with a soft cheese and crackers.
