J Boulard
L'Arène des Anges Costières de Nîmes Red Rhône Blend
Musty foot smell,
Leading from saline - dark berry skin, mace, plum pit. Light to medium in body, with peppery acids and tannins.
A classically good CDN table wine, you just have to let it open for a couple of hours and know what you are getting into.

Waitrose GBP 9. Overheard a guy telling another customer about wine and this was the bottle he grabbed so tried it out. Decanted bc of the price, and it's not great... Tastes like you took the grape skins and made it into wine-- smells like it, tastes like it, your tongue feels like it. Like when you sniff a bottle thinking it's water but you realize it's slightly diluted vinegar and you choke but then it's not THAT bad in the end so you take another sip.

Great choice if you are looking for an inexpensive wine!

Little bit musty on the nose. A little fruity, very slightly tart, and the delicate peppery finish is the best part.

Feb 10th, 2018L'Arené Des Anges do some beautiful wines that I have tried over the years so seeing this in Waitrose it was a must to try but unfortunately it lacked body and flavour especially for a grape that's grown in the Rhine district of France.
